Last weekend tony and i were off. Friday we started on some holiday shopping, it was silent and scary ( i guess everyone is buying online.) There were no people at the mall we went to, and it was supposed to be an up scale, kinda like sommerset ( but i thought it was a little more 12 oaks).
so after walking around the place and not finding anything at all, plus our house was not decorated at all, i was beginning to get the scrooges...
so saturday we got up early and headed to a christmas tree farm. we didn't get a tree, but we got some garland and took it apart. with it, we made a tree in a vase.. i'll put some photos later when it is decorated a little better, right now it is in a vase on our dining room table..
after that we headed to Tarara winey. There was holiday jazz there and wine tasting! what a better way to get in the spirit, then with spirits!!!! we sampled some wines, took a self guided tour of the place and then headed home.
Once we got home, we went to our city to see the christmas decorations and tree lighting, but we got there right before they were closing all the fun stuff down ( making s'more over an open fire, decorating cards for the troops overseas, etc) but did get there in time to hear holiday tunes and get a tour of one of the oldest buildings in the city. Not a bad weekend for having such a bleak start.
we had to work this weekend. it was sooo busy.. so tonight we did a little more shopping and then came home to decorate a little more...
Tomorrow we are going to a piano bar with some friends for happy hour.. i'll try to post, but who knows how happy hour goes!!! :)
